Jindabyne is home to Australia's alpine playground with Thredbo and Perisher a short 30-40 minute drive from Powder Peaks. Along with the snow you can expect to see some remarkable sights and landscapes all year around such as the beautiful lake Jindabyne where anglers can try their luck in catching some tasty alpine rainbow and brown trout, boating/water skiing or even a hike through the Kosciuszko National Park.

In the summer time you can expect to see a lot of mountain bikers enjoying the surrounding free tracks around lake Jindabyne through to East Jindabyne.

Or if you really want some adrenaline perhaps give some downhill mountain biking a go at Thredbo or even horse riding at Crackenback in the summertime. For the foodies, there is an abundance of great pub meal classics, a variety of different vibrant food cultures can be found around the town and the Wildbrumby Distillery which is open for breakfast and lunch and has some delicious schnapps from locally sourced fruit along with some yummy German inspired foods and cakes.
